What Hydrafacial is

Hydrafacial is a popular facial treatment that combines several skincare techniques into one comprehensive procedure. So it is actually an all-in-one treatment.

It’s designed to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and hydrate the skin simultaneously. The treatment is non-invasive, fully personalized and suitable for various skin conditions and types, including sensitive skin.

  • Lymphatic Drainage Therapy: Platinum Hydrafacial treatments begin with lymphatic drainage therapy. This step involves the use of specialized techniques and equipment to stimulate the lymphatic system, helping to reduce inflammation and promote detoxification.
  • Cleansing and Exfoliation: The skin is cleansed thoroughly to remove surface impurities and dead skin cells. This step prepares the skin for deeper exfoliation.
  • Peel: A mild chemical peel containing Glycolic and Salicylic acids is applied to the skin to loosen dirt, oil, and debris from the pores. This helps to improve skin texture and promote a brighter complexion.
  • Extraction: Using a unique vacuum-based extraction tip, impurities such as blackheads and whiteheads are gently removed from the pores. This step helps to decongest the skin and improve its overall appearance.
  • Hydration: A combination of hydrating serums containing antioxidants, peptides, and Hyaluronic Acid is infused into the skin to replenish moisture, nourish the skin, and promote a healthy glow.
  • LED Light Therapy: LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy is included with Platinum Hydrafacial treatments. Red and blue lights are used to target specific skin problems such as inflammation, acne or uneven skin tone.
  • Booster: Depending on your skin concerns, additional booster serums may be applied to target specific issues such as fine lines, wrinkles, or hyperpigmentation. Boosters  are included with Platinum, Dark spot and Acne.
  • Moisturization: To complete the treatment, a moisturizer and sunscreen are applied to protect the skin and lock in hydration.

The aftercare

  • For the first 12 hours it is recommended not to let the skin come into contact with water or other liquids (unless otherwise advised).
  • Avoid swimming pools and jacuzzis for 48 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid heat, saunas, steam cabins and the like for up to 48 hours after treatment.
  • Do not force or touch the treated area unnecessarily and do not pick, scratch or peel off skin.
  • Do not use scrubs or (silicone) facial brushes for up to a week after the treatment.
  • Avoid exfoliants, acids, Benzoyl Peroxide, vitamin A/Retinol and drying alcohols for up to two weeks after treatment.
  • Use a solid skincare routine consistently after treatment to give the skin the opportunity to improve glowingly.
  • SPF is essential.

What is Hydrafacial used for?

Hydrafacial is a versatile skincare treatment that can address a wide range of skin concerns and conditions. It is commonly used for:

  • Cleansing: Hydrafacial thoroughly cleanses the skin, removing dirt, oil, and impurities from the surface and pores, which can help prevent breakouts and congestion.
  • Exfoliation: The treatment includes gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells, revealing smoother, brighter skin underneath. Exfoliation can improve skin texture and promote a more youthful appearance.
  • Hydration: Hydrafacial delivers hydrating serums containing hyaluronic acid, peptides, and antioxidants deep into the skin, replenishing moisture and restoring hydration levels. This can help improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Anti-Aging: By promoting collagen production and improving skin firmness, elasticity, and texture, Hydrafacial can help minimize the visible signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.
  • Acne: Hydrafacial includes a gentle suction-based extraction process to remove impurities from the pores, reducing congestion and preventing acne breakouts. Additionally, targeted serums and blue LED light therapy can help kill acne-causing bacteria and calm inflammation.
  • Hyperpigmentation: Hydrafacial can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, sunspots, and uneven skin tone through exfoliation, brightening serums, and antioxidant-rich treatments. This can result in a more even complexion and brighter, more radiant skin.
  • Sensitive skin: Hydrafacial is gentle enough for sensitive skin types and can help soothe irritation, reduce redness, and improve overall skin health without causing discomfort or irritation.
  • Preventive care: Regular Hydrafacial treatments help maintain healthy skin by keeping it clean, hydrated, and nourished, which can help prevent future skin issues and maintain a youthful, glowing complexion.

Overall, Hydrafacial is a customizable treatment that can be tailored to your individual skin concerns and goals, making it suitable for anyone seeking to improve the health and appearance of their skin.
